GM

Ad on radio:

"...2007 GM cars, now available for 0% APR, lower than invoice price...."

Person 1: "2007 models? Already? But it's only April 2006!"

Person 2: "Yea, well, since GM realized they are not improving their cars anyway, they might as well brand them as 2007!"

GM: Yeppidi irundha naan, ippidi aaiten!

I'll be mozart

Oh my god! Was it really me? Is it possible that I was being cynical in the past few posts without realizing it? I mean, I am sarcastic and all, but when did this dark side prop up (I can see Slash grinning and Raju concurring)

The sad part was that I was pretending it was just a natural/emotional phase of life, but today, in a split instant, I realized that was not the case.

Bottom line is: I am missing Florida. A whole lot. EVERY DAMN THING here is different. Funniest thing is that I never felt that way when I moved from Arizona, or dare I say, from India (maaaybe not), although I have stayed much longer in those two places. Strange are nature's ways.

But I am sure I will adapt and will be in full flow soon. It should not be long before we see posts more or less like:

1. Make sentences with
2. They spun a web for me
3. Instant karma
4. To get one or not to get one
5. Sambaaril paayasam
6. Cat policing

I know, I know. That was a typical Deepakesque cheapshot. Of course, one should marvel my audacity in actually assuming that the above old posts were "classics"!

Inevitable

Why does talking about arranged marriage inevtiably bring fate, destiny, and such philosophical thoughts when talking to a local here?

And why does our counter-arguments to theirs always (unwarrantedly) pulls in the divorce-rate fact existing here?

And lastly, why does the same topic when spoken with Indian friends come out so matter-of-factly without BS-101?

I am just saying.
