@sm1: Slumdog was fine but not sure if it should win an Oscar. I guess the portrayal of this aspect of India is fascinating to the West.
@sm2: I have never understood a lot of shortforms. How is Bill = William ..is one more of them.
@sm3: Well it is a precursor to becoming hearing impaired..so makes sense to me ;-)
@sm4: Did you bite to do that? If so the artist in you should come out.

As usual, good ones..
Slumdog is a more-than-decent movie.. Though the story is wafer-thin, what appealed to me were the screenplay, the emotional factor, music (esp. BGM in a lot of places) and performances. Its luck with awards has also to do with the lack of strong competition.

Forgot about SM2: Had this huge confusion on my very first day at the school in US. When asked a certain Robert why he is called Bob, he said thats how it is shortened. I was about to ask him, why not Rob, but didnt, since the answer flashed a millisecond before opening my mouth.
