Winter is here...
... definitely. We had the first dose of snow today. Nothing stuck to the ground as the ground temperature was still above freezing point. Cogito got me a new camera (I chose the model - Sony DSC H50) for our anniversary and I have been playing with it since the day I got it. Among other features, it also doubles up as a decent camcorder, can detect smiles and frowns, comes with a remote, has a ton of scene modes, so I am all set! Best of all, it feels like a proper camera, with contours to accommodate bigger fingers and palms - unlike the ultra-slim pocket sized credit card cameras.
I boldly ventured out yesterday and tried taking a few pictures for getting a feel of the camera.
Celebrated our anniversary in a French restaurant - our first time eating French cuisine. Some observations:
1. 12 waiters took care of our 3 hour, 7-course meal (Chef's welcome, appetizer, soup, salad, main course, another main course, cheese platter and dessert)
2. The portions were seemingly minute, but was cleverly made so by the size of the plates
3. There was no salt and pepper on the table
4. Waiters actually waited. Very subtle and very professional
5. Very rarely have I had such good food when I eat out

Anon: Why, thanks! extra-ord is a bit over for my range! i try to improve all the time.
yea, i highly recommend it - if you find an appropriate place. This was on the pricier sides and so had better options, i guess.
