yendha saami?

Dialog towards the end of Anbey Sivam:

Henchman: Enakku saami nambikka irukku thambi. Ungalukku epdiyo.
Nallasivam: Enakkum irukku
Henchman: Apdeengala. yendha saami?

Come on! What a jarring question to ask? As if it was asked just to (re-)invoke Kamal's take on Godliness.

Of course, I wouldn't complain if it was in a regular movie. But not in this classic.

  • I think he would take every given chance to proclaim his idea. Imagine how odd it would have sounded in a movie like PKS!!!

  • A movie doesnt become a classic until after it is released. That, and considering that we have scores of Gods to choose from, Santhanabharathi's question does make sense.

  • Ricky Ponting says he is disappointed he did not sell for more at Wednesday's Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, where he was valued nearly US$1 million lower than Andrew Symonds. However, Ponting said there would be no friction in the Australian dressing room following the bidding war, during which he went to Kolkata for $400,000.

"I thought I might have been able to attract a little bit more than that," Ponting said

  • Hi,

So what you think Santhanabharathi should have asked him ?

nothing. who cares what particular saami does nallasivam pray to?

  • I think his question was relavent to the story- God is within us. Nallasivam's answer ties up well with the theme of the movie.
