Useless fact # 3

This post is only half-kidding and may represent an underlying problem in the Indian IT sector.

Useless fact # 3:

If I mention my gross income salary, perks et al to every Tom, Dick and Harry, I MUST be an Indian IT professional.

  • arch: salary and other remuneration are private information, which is not any one else's business. predominantly in the IT sector in India, it is very common to hear people mentioning their salaries.
    as I said, it is a useless fact, but a fact nonetheless.

  • ive heard about this somewhere else, cantrememebr where, that indians freely discuss their salary details and stuff. (its not a useless fact)

  • I get annoyed whe people ask about salary (old habits die hard). I get even more upset when they try to convert this into INR (it really doesn't make any sense).
