Lazy Saturday

Today I did not have anything to do, so I went to a town park. Below are some snaps which I took there.

Vithyaasama photo edukaren pervazhi nu eduthadhu!. Adhigaprasangi thanama irundhaa, mannichudunga!.

Their own world Posted by Picasa

Look at these ants. No care in the world - the human world, I mean. Their life is so simple - no education, no jobs, no NRI's X+1 syndrome.. all they have to worry about is gathering food, escape the occasional clumsy human's foot. Sigh!.

Age of a Tree Posted by Picasa

Says the fallen tree:

I would have lived longer
- if they did not try to find my age!.

Nature's Love Posted by Picasa

Mother Nature's way of expressing Love - heart shaped leaves. Basically, nature seems to be benevolent most of the times. Look at most of the so-called "natural disasters" - earthquakes, tsunamis in S. Asia - all caused due to Man's pursuits.

  • You brought out a great point at the end of the post...Man's pursuits.! I wonder where we are going to take our Beloved Earth to.!

Very nice photos and lines especially this

    would have lived longer
    - if they did not try to find my age!.

Very true, I feel very sad, when trees are cut for development. Even read that several trees are cut for the Sunday editions of Newspapers in the US....Not sure how much that's true.!

Ants - True , wish we lived such a life...Can't..!! What to do?

'look at human beings, such a carefree life!wish i could be like them!'

    Narayanan Sir,
trees are cut for sunday editions, very true, there is concrete data avaliable, infact any paper product results in loss of trees!

  • Narayanan: Thank you!. You know, the leaves were so prominent in that particular plant - that it was trying to express something.

Sunday editions are not made from recycyled papers?. This is "news" to me. I personally read all news from the Internet.

Vatsan: LOL.. perhaps man. grass is always greener the other side. I remember watching a 3D show called "its tough to be a bug" in Animal Kingdom (orlando, FLorida) theme park. neenga sonnadhu dhaan andha entire show vey. Though it was funny, that was an un-conscious reason why i had taken t his foto, if I think about it now..

Thennavan: Thanks!. I used a Sony Cybershot 3.2 MP camera - only 2x optical zoom.

Siddharth: Thanks!. My first attempt in "R. Parthiban" style of viewing things!!!!

  • vatsan, beetiful.
i think most of the animals and unknown creatures should be envying the way of life a man is undergoing.

of all the creatures, Man has dominated the entire world, and our community has invented quite a lot of things for ourselves and many others.

besides all our mistakes, humans do many good things too.

    nna sollreenga deepak.

  • I liked the green leaves pic very much.. and all the lines were also good. (especially, for the tree)

  • Keerthi: I agree partly. What we have dpne in the fields of medicine or nuclear physics is great and admirable.

But its that contempt that "Man is the greatest thing that ever happened to earth" which is causing these problems.

    Too little, too late.

Ram: Thanks man. Glad to see that you are back.

  • Beautifull pix TTG, love the green leaves. Nice thougts.

  • Kaleidoscope: Thanks. :-). I had to get as close as possible to the leaves, since my camera has only 2x zoom.

  • Since Vatsan has already commented what I had in mind, I'll try getting into the ant's shoe! :-)

The ants are thinking, 'huh! These humans have no care in the world! No gathering food(all the time), No tailgating(all the time)! Just sit infront of some screen, grab something and eat when hungry, sit in some mobile thingy to go home and again watch a screen!!'

    The tree caption was affecting.
