Quick ones
Right arm all over again:
Started playing cricket after almost 2 years. First game was last saturday - more of a practice game (within the club). It was good to knock a few runs and loved fielding at point. Did not get a chance to bowl yet. I am not sure how I would fare, considering I bowl leg break and it is NOT a cricket ball - a hard tennis ball. Nevertheless, I want to try and see what happens.
If the ground dries up in time (raining for the past 2 days), we will get to play coming saturday/sunday.

Dasavatharam audio release:
Was that the most oddest group of people sitting on a stage or what? One cannot understand tamil, one cannot talk anything but tamil, if one talks, everyone scratches their head and finally agrees that he must be meaning something substantial, one went exactly the opposite of what Sathyaraj said (and did not pull out his tongue!), one did not even attend the event...
I hope the movie lives up to its expectations. BTW, did anyone get a chance to take a look at the invitation. Gramophone-record shaped - sounds interesting.

Grand Theft Auto 4:
Awaiting this video game is equivalent to waiting for the next Harry Potter movie/book, I am told. I saw the review of this game and it truly is mind-blowing. Some of my colleagues used to play GTA 3 - San Andreas and the sound track was phenomenal. In fact, I rediscovered reggae music through one of the radio stations played in the car of the game (!) when the protagonist/antagonist drives by doing several things unmentionable. I hope the sound track would be good this time around too.

Rant:
Just as it is impossible to know when a swimming fish is drinking water, so it is impossible to find out when a government servant is stealing money.
- no, this is not a pseudo-intellectual dialog in some idealistic movie; rather a pretty old observation - one that by a certain gentleman named Kautilya (Chanakya) in his Arthashastra.

Peace out!
