10 oda 11
With all the hullabaloo about the primaries, debates, opinion polls, mud-slings, hopes, changes, experience, UFOs, donlephants, it is easy for the average Indian living in the US to get carried away and form his/her opinion (not that they matter, but still makes a topic of discussion).
I do not understand the full process of elections in this country, but here is a recount of what I understand till now (with some humor injected, pathetically):
1. Republicans are "right"
2. Democrats are "left"
3. Some of the politicians are wealthy. Really wealthy
4. McCain is like Tendulkar
5. Whether it makes sense or not, it is fashionable to say that a democrat is going to be next president, unless of course if it comes down to Hillary vs McCain
6. Also fashionable to say that Obama is cool and calm
7. Men have to wait for the female gender to say that she doesn't like Hillary and ONLY after that can they agree
8. Same applies when wondering whether this country is ready for a black president
9. Also, have you noticed how some people take extra effort stressing "African-American" for a couple of times, and then go back to saying black? heh!
10. The kiss-of-death of Kerry is better than Bush. That is why no one really wants the current president's support
11. US politicians learnt from Lok Paritran's fate and decided to play it safe and simple
Let's see how it turns out!
